If you reside in Lagos, you would agree that the stress of this city is not for the fainthearted. I remember travelling for an event in Abuja a while back. I quickly noticed the sharp contrast in the way of life of the two cities. People who stay in Abuja take their sweet time to do whatever they ought to do. It is almost as if they have all the time in the world. They can decide to wake up by 8 a.m. and still get to work before 9 a.m. Such a mystery.

In Lagos, we wake up before our alarms. Traffic can begin to build as early as 6 a.m. Sometimes, I wonder where we are all headed to at such early hours of the morning. When do we rest?

Some of us still have not taken our annual leave from work. This is November! If you fall into this category, it’s time to put yourself first. I know we have to hustle, but still, enjoy yourself a little. Take some time off for yourself.
