What is real estate?

Definition of real estate property: – Real estate is property consisting of land and the building on it along with its natural resources.

Types of residential real estate building: –

Detached house: This is a single family dwelling unit, standing on its own and not attached to any other structure.

Semi-detached house: This is a single-family dwelling unit, built as one of a pair, joint together by a common wall, each pair mirroring each other.

Terraced house: This is a single dwelling unit in a group of row of houses joined together by their side walls, with similar attributes in each unit on 2 floors. These row of house starts from a minimum of 3 units. Terraced house originated from Europe in the 16th century.

Town house: These are medium density housing, mostly built in rows similar to terraced houses, but are on 3rd floors. That is ground, first and second floor.

Flats: An apartment that occupies only part of the building, generally on a single level without stairs.

Maisonettes: An apartment that occupies only part of the building with two levels internally and it has its own entrance.
